Irene Matt

Irene is looking back to a professional life of 45 years. In 2017 after her retirement she was looking for an opportunity to do charity work at home and abroad. At home Irene is assisting the Learning Initiative of Caritas for students with non-German mother tongues. Working in different companies in Austria and Switzerland as Senior HR manager, Administrative Assistant and Office Manager she gained a wide experience in these areas. She is from Austria and still engaged herself at the Airport of Zurich doing guided tours, round trips and sorts of visitor events. Irene first joined Sambhali in spring 2020 when she supported the teachers in a Setrawa government school in teaching English. Unfortunately the school engagement had to be ended early because of the Covid Situation. Since Irene is very impressed by what Sambhali has achieved she gladly accepted an invitation of the founder of the trust to be of assistance to the office staff. She started her work in October 2021.
