Sambhali Walks

Immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture of Jodhpur, the jewel of Marwar. Known as the "Blue City," Jodhpur’s blue-washed houses, narrow lanes, and historic landmarks tell captivating tales of royalty, bravery, and tradition. Founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha, the city is a blend of old-world charm and lively local culture.

Our journey begins at the iconic Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower), a bustling hub of Jodhpur’s heritage. From here, we weave through the narrow lanes of Navchowkiya, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, uncovering hidden treasures and lesser-known stories. Along the way, you’ll witness the beauty of Toorji’s Step Well, the serenity of Gulab Sagar, and the rich legacy of ancient temples, all while listening to tales that bring these landmarks to life.

Led by guides from the LGBTQ+ community, Sambhali Walks offers an inclusive and unique perspective on Jodhpur’s history and culture. Every step on this journey celebrates empowerment, diversity, and connection, making it more than just a walk – it’s a meaningful experience.

The walk concludes at the Sambhali Café, where you’ll enjoy a sumptuous Jodhpur platter – a delicious array of local flavors and traditional dishes. The café is a welcoming space run by the LGBTQ+ community, further supporting Sambhali Trust’s mission of providing job opportunities and uplifting marginalized communities.
