Alfisa and Nausheen’s Story
Alfisa and Nausheen the martial arts champions and sisters of Sambhali joined the boarding homes of the Trust back in 2014. Afisa is currently 14 years old and in the 8th grade and Nausheen is 16 years old and studying in the 9th grade.
Both sisters were introduced to the world of Martial Arts through the self-defense classes hosted by Sambhali Trust. They fell in love with the MA techniques used during the classes and used to practice on their own often. The trust noticed their interest in the sport and helped them sign up for a school team. They were performing really well and started competing in local tournaments. Their success allowed them to slowly advance to the level where they started participating in state championships.
As the schools are not funding self-defense classes anymore the two sisters started competing in another Martial Art that requires expertise with knife and sword fighting. Their sportive strength is phenomenal, where they picked up the sport so quickly that they now compete at the state level once again!
Alfisa is not only highly capable in sports but she performs really well in her studies. The wants to become a doctor, to fulfill her father’s dream. She is in love with South Korea and really hopes to be able to visit the country one day.
Nausheen - also very capable in the space of schooling - has different aspirations! She hopes to open up her own clothing boutique after having fallen in love with sewing!
